When you work hard, you disturb!
When you are frank and honest, you disturb!
When you want to improve things, you disturb!
A thought today to those I disturb. It's not the end yet, it's only the beginning…
If you are a hypocrite, this blog is NOT for you.
“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth” - Plato
The sense of Moroccan criticism now has a name: Simo Benbachir. Nicknamed Simo Ben, an award-winning journalist that is feared by all due to his honesty and the integrity of his statements. For me, as a colleague and friend, he is not only the first and the sole Moroccan reporter in Hollywood but a Moroccan showbiz star who rose through the ranks by merit. He does not belong to those who believe they're the navel of the world or others that have a selective memory once they reach notoriety. No! Simo Ben isn't part of the caliber of those people without integrity who frequently are the elite of the average population. But beware! Simo doesn’t hold back.
If his originality has conquered many hearts, however, his outspokenness earned him many enemies. But his strong and independent character allowed him to get in front of the scene without ever showing hypocritical behavior. His courage destabilizes some people. Indeed, Simo never holds back the truth. When it's white, it's white, and when it's black, it is black. Simo doesn’t live in the grey area! That's why his integrity and categorical stance earned his status as the only Moroccan journalist to whom the doors of the Oscars, the Grammys, and the most significant events in the world are open. He has sat down with some of the biggest global stars and even managed to make the most famous Moroccan stars in Hollywood talk in Darija (Moroccan dialect) such as Redone, Sanaa Hamri, French Montana, and others...
He debuted in the second Moroccan channel as a chronicler for the famous broadcast entitled "ENTR'ACT." He then changed course and turned to the written press, where exceptional media outlets noticed him being the first to cover the nightlife in Casablanca and Marrakesh. Then he joined the radio for more new experiences. This desire to discover and share brought him to "Nessma TV" channel in Tunis before embarking him to Beirut and Dubai. He became indispensable in the world of showbiz. Simo finally settled in the city he dreamed of thanks to Madonna since he was a teenager: Los Angeles, where he is a TV correspondent to many channels in the Middle East. He also hosts the "African Americans" TV show on the French channel Ubiznews TV part of Canal + where he gives it his all to advancing African Americans.
His controversial interviews have exposed the fake influencers and fake models who are known for manipulating their followers on social media in Morocco and the rest of the third world by portraying the perfect life and fake success, pushing the new generation to do whatever it takes, including dropping their studies, to follow this path. His debate about these so-called fake celebrities has created the biggest controversy to date in the entertainment world in Morocco, making him the most honest and daring entertainment journalist of which Moroccan society has ever seen before.
Today he begins a new and unique adventure. Indeed, more present in the digital world than ever, he launches his latest blog, Moroccan Drama. The site remains in the image of its owner, that is to say, unique and original! Not focusing on the opinion of his haters, who have tried every trick in the book to destroy him, including the most malicious rumors. As Simo bb likes to say, "Always Forward, never back." "To all those who criticized me, enjoy my silent treatment," he told me in one of our interviews.
The journalist has set up this blog as he felt that he has many stories to tell that many other Moroccans feel the same but may not have a way to share them with the world.
The outspoken reporter who hates the hypocrisy of the third world society is here to give people juicy news, crazy stories part of our daily Moroccan drama. Are you ready for takeoff ?! Buckle up or otherwise look away because heavy stuff is being prepared for Moroccan Drama: where gossip and scandals coexist.
