A Moroccan Seriously Abuses His Mother-in-law with a Baseball Bat
Mother-in-law and son in-law relationships are full of ups and downs, and their struggle is all too familiar. Sometimes the root of this struggle is the mother whose heart does not realize that her daughter is "grown up and should go live with someone she chose over her.” The family gap may open up, but in this particular case, the gap opened up and caused a huge fight involving a baseball bat.
A person in his forties was arrested by the Royal Gendarmerie of the Ait Melloul province in Morocco after receiving a complaint stating that he had assaulted three women, including his mother-in-law.
According to local sources, the detainee had a severe nervous state after a verbal argument with his family, which developed in a violent assault towards his “mother-in-law" with a baseball bat. (The guy was practicing his skills for his next match, which is very weird since baseball is not popular at all in Morocco).
After the intervention of several female relatives to resolve the conflict, he physically and verbally abused everyone with the bat. (Hitting the wife is a common practice in the Moroccan and the Arab societies as it's a cultural thing. It's not even punishable unless it's very harmful as in this case).
The three women were transferred to the regional hospital to receive the necessary treatments while the perpetrator was arrested. While I hope he won’t go back for revenge next time with a golf club when he’s released from jail, Moroccan Drama continues…
