The newest boxing scandal that went viral in Morocco and worldwide reminded everybody about the last Moroccan scandal at the previous Olympics in Rio De Janeiro. During their confrontation in the current Tokyo Games, Younes Baalla, who thought he was Mike Tyson and tried to bite his opponent from New Zealand, boxer David Nyika's ear (Click here to read more about it). The fighter found something else to do–be in the international media's spotlight for sexually assaulting two Brazilian housekeepers in the Olympic Village instead of in the ring. Another Moroccan boxer's story went viral, while every Moroccan hoped that their champion would bring a gold medal home.

The chief investigator Carolina Salomao told the media that the women filed a report stating that the Moroccan boxer, Hassan Saada, asked them to go to his room, where he restrained them and fondled them. They were cleaning the room right across from his, and he assaulted them by squeezing one of the woman's breasts and trying to kiss the other woman.
