Dubai Taxi Driver & Moroccan Drunk Girls Scandal
Emirati newspapers revealed that Dubai police arrested four Moroccan women after a video clip of them went viral on social media. The video showed them in what appeared to be in a drunken state and showed them assaulting a taxi driver and insulting some bystanders present at a gas station, speaking in a Moroccan dialect.
Dubai Police also arrested the ones of Asian nationality, filming the infamous video. They justified the arrest that “the cybercrime law confirms the criminalization of all participants in such crimes, whether, by appearance, preparation, filming, or retransmission, and that ignorance of the law does not exempt from responsibility.”
