Moroccan Actor Hachem Bastaoui

Moroccan actor Hachem Bastaoui, son of a Moroccan movie star, the late Mohamed Bastaoui, took to Instagram to announce the end of his career. The young actor "disowned" his old profession. "I disavow myself before God for all the works in which I have participated. May God forgive us all. I would be grateful if you deleted all my photos," taking his fans and the public by storm.  He is not the first to act apostatic in the Moroccan entertainment world and has deleted every photo relating to his previous roles.
This announcement aroused the surprise and misunderstanding of many of the artist's fans. Some even assumed that his account was hacked.
Supporters were divided in the comments about his decision to retire, with some claiming that he deserves larger Arab artworks, given the talent and professionalism that distinguishes him and others claiming that there's no future being an actor in Morocco as most of the Moroccan actors and artists, in general, are struggling. Another group expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision, describing him as a "respected artist." Others applauded his decision linked to religion, repentance, and returning to God as many commented and reminded people that art is a sin according to religion. The religious law considers singing and dancing and entertainment in general as haram (prohibited by Islam). Every penny you make from this is haram. This rule is the ultimate nightmare of all of the performers in the Arab world. If you are an artist in the Arab world according to the religion of Islam, you're flying on a one-way ticket to hell. Waiting to know if this actor would find his way to paradise, escaping the Moroccan entertainment world, which many compare to hell (as there is no official structure for the Moroccan entertainment world), the Moroccan Drama continues…
