Moroccan Petty Murder In a Mosque In Marrakesh

Moroccan Petty Murder In a Mosque In Marrakesh

As an entertainment reporter, I interview celebrities who are currently trendy and make themselves get talked about in the media. Still, I love checking what's going on in the crime world. I am a massive fan of the Discovery Investigations channel, which I like to watch while working at night and see how these people could commit these terrible things in cold blood. I am thinking of switching from an entrainment reporter to an investigative one.

As a Moroccan, I hadn't heard about crimes happening inside Mosques until I heard about this one in a mosque in the tourism capital of Morocco, Marrakesh. And when I heard about it happening in the kingdom of sun, Morocco, I was intrigued and so surprised to find out that the police in Marrakech arrested an individual, 47 years old, for his involvement in the murder of a fifty-year-old. The suspect surprised the victim while he was alone after the Asr prayer. The Asr prayer ("afternoon prayer") is one of the five mandatory salah (Islamic prayer) at the Benkaddour mosque, inflicting fatal blows and wounds with a knife, taking his soul in the Holy Place.

The murder was caused by a rental dispute between the two men. The murderer was renting a commercial space belonging to the victim, who the owner called a lousy payer, and did not pay the rental fees, leading the owner to take legal action, obtaining the lease's termination and the tenant's eviction. This eviction made the tenant angry, and he decided to take revenge on the premises owner.

Before taking action, he had coldly planned the murder by hiding a large knife under his clothes and watched for the victim to perform his prayer at the mosque before taking a knife in his back.

The intervention of police patrols has led to the arrest of the accused as he tried to flee in the vicinity of Oued Issil near the scene of the crime," reporting the seizure of the knife used to commit the act.

The killer was placed in custody for the investigation conducted to determine the ins and outs of this case. Relatives of the fifty-year-old murder victim have testified to the Moroccan media, indicating that they are still in shock because of the atrocity of the crime.

Hoping for these petty kinds of murders to stop, the Moroccan Drama continues…
