Moroccan Rapper, Dizzy Dros, Slams Moroccan Hypocrites

Moroccan Rapper Dizzy Dros

The tragic rape, murder, and burial of the child Adnan in Tangier ( Morocco) cut into the hearts of Moroccans. I was moved by this painful story, especially since it was all over social media. Everyone believes their opinions make them a reporter on the matter. Still, the only impressive statement I saw was by Moroccan rapper Dizzy Dros, which went viral on social media at 57 seconds in the video (where I was tagged multiple times by my followers asking if they were my words because of my reputation as Moroccan Media's Big Mouth). Let me tell you about what happened.

A poster showing the disappearance of an 11-year-old minor child circulated social media and spread like fire: the kid who never came back from the pharmacy where his parents sent him to buy medicine. A shop owner in the neighborhood released images captured by outside security cameras showed the kid walking along with an unknown adult.

Before the neighbors began searching and the police began conducting investigations, it was revealed that the matter was connected to criminal activity, especially after video recording detected that a person might have been involved in luring the victim near his family's place of residence. The suspect proceeded to lure the victim to an apartment he rented in the same residential neighborhood, sexually assaulted him, murdered him, and buried the body directly in the vicinity of the residence.

Famous Moroccan Rapper (Omar Al-Suhaili), aka Dizzy Dros, posted a video following the rape case that shook the Moroccan nation summing up the hypocrisy of Moroccan society in 57 seconds. Sent to me by one of my colleagues from Morocco, I checked it as soon as I woke up in LA and read the comment, "He sounds like you… doesn't he?" I replied that I was about to say almost the same thing, but differently. With a time difference of 8 hours between Casablanca & Los Angeles; he was one step ahead.

I loved Dizzy Dros's statement, and I shared it on my social media with a big thumbs UP for being an open-minded Moroccan who speaks up and uses his fame to highlight social hypocrisy.

Here's a literal translation of his message [sic] "To show you how our society has, unfortunately, reached an unprecedented level of double standards and hypocrisy: if you invite an adult girl to your place and both of you consent to being alone with each other... it doesn't matter whether you decide to clean wheat, do the laundry, tell each other jokes or eat... as long as you are not disturbing or harming anybody, neighbors will be outraged and may call police on you and curse you. At the same time, someone took a little boy to his apartment, raped and killed him, and took his body to a nearby garden and buried him, but no one saw anything."

P.S. - According to the religious and actual laws, it is illegal for unmarried members of the opposite sex to hang out alone together in the same place. This law enables nosy neighbors to call the police on anyone suspected of breaking this law.

His message ends there, but always remember, Moroccan Drama never ends.
